Ana Maria Spagna, the extraordinary writer, returns to Writer Island to conduct an exciting new prose workshop titled “Make It Move!”

All compelling stories, whether fiction or nonfiction, possess movement—characters evolve, plotlines unravel, settings transform, and meanings surface. Excellent stories resonate with readers, evoke emotions, and leave a lasting impact. In this workshop, we will explore techniques to set our prose in motion, guiding our words into novel and unforeseen directions, thereby captivating readers on a deeper level.

Join Ana Maria and a select group of up to 12 writers to infuse your work with heightened poignancy, pacing, and momentum in the quest to Make It Move!
